Sajih Epocan

"Who is Sajih Epocan?"

Twelve, how do I even answer that? Well, I'm a novelist, as you know. A Miqo'te, fiveish fulms, very... green? When I was young, they used to say my parents had run out of all the other colours, so I just got green! Shroud born and raised, South Shroud specifically, though I'm truly a Gridanian these days.

With over twenty titles and counting,

"How do you find time for yourself?
Any hobbies outside of writing?"

I'm very good about making sure I have time away at least twice a year! Spring and around Starlight usually. Is eating pastries considered a hobby? I make sure to try something different wherever I go, so I suppose you could consider me a collector of confections. Well, my belly is the real collector there, but you know...

A little bird tells us you research the setting for your works yourself,

"Just how well traveled are you?"

Not more than the average adventurer, I don't think? Having been to all the major cities in Eorzea is a routine feat for most merchants too, I imagine. Travel to Hingashi and Doma isn't particularly difficult now that the troubles have settled down, and the liberation of Ala Mhigo makes travel through Gyr Abania practically safe. Ishgard was a little prickly before, but it's reasonably nice these days. The Firmament is quite spectacular!

"What is the day-to-day like for such a prolific author?"

Oh! Nothing special really. I get up, feed Percy - that's my chameleon - and eat breakfast. The writing, if the inspiration strikes, starts after that. I do set the chronometer to remind me to eat lunch and take a break. And when to eat supper and wrap up for the day! I don't think it especially different from any other work, really, just a bit quieter, and I get to do what I love!

Given that your works are... romantic in nature,

"What is your love life like?"

Er, well, not much of one? Currently. My work keeps me busy and all the travels just doesn't leave much time. Would be nice, but there isn't much to tell. Wait, you don't think I'm like my characters do you? Thats really far from the truth [...]

Er... No? Not really? Maybe I celebrate a finished project a little too much, but nothing so scandalous. Hardly a thing to worry about, I don't see how thats anyone's business [...]
